For four months, we will support you with specialised training, mentoring and strategic advice; this will help you to consolidate your company and generate a real impact in Bizkaia and beyond. Programme goal
Arin is an acceleration programme designed to drive start-ups with impact to develop sustainable and innovative business models. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the programme bolsters the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bizkaia, by fostering sustainable innovation and responsible competitiveness.
This programme is designed to drive entrepreneurial initiatives with a triple environmental, social and economic impact, by supporting start-ups and intrapreneurial projects. They are proposals based on innovative ideas, with potential for scalability and ability to multiply their positive impact.
Target audience
Arin is aimed at:
- Projects that are driven by start-ups and social intrapreneurs.
- Start-ups with social and environmental impact, with an innovative value proposal.
- Companies set up in Bizkaia or willing to move their corporate headquarters to the province.
- Projects with a sustainable or profitable business model with positive sales figures and with the possibility to scale and expand to new markets.
- Entrepreneurs that are seeking financing and specialised advice.
- Projects that combine sustainability, innovation and business growth.
Benefits and term
The programme lasts 5 months, during which the selected start-ups will:

Receive a comprehensive assessment and personalised strategic support.
- Take part in specialised mentoring sessions and training in strategy, financial management, innovation and sustainability.
- Have access to the BBK Banking Foundation’s spaces at B Accelerator Tower (BAT).
- Have a direct connection with the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bizkaia and take part in different events and networking meetings.
- Vie for a financing fund of up to €100,000
Selection process
- Call and registrations: Startups must register through the BBK Y TU portal, after creating a profile in the category «Entities and companies».
- Pre-selection and interviews: From all applications, 20 startups will be selected to conduct in-depth interviews.
- Elevator Pitch Workshop: 13 startups will be selected to participate in a specialized workshop to prepare the presentation to the Strategic Committee.
- Final selection: The Strategic Committee will select 5 finalist startups that will enter the acceleration phase.

COMPOSTREE
Company that manufactures compostable and biodegradable tree protectors in the Basque Country as a circular alternative to stop the use of plastic in nature.
MARZIANOS
Healthy food start-up that produces functional and nutritional snacks that are sugar and gluten free to help fight child obesity and improve the family diet.
FELINETEK
Industrial design company that develops patented single-person platforms to work at heights, guaranteeing maximum stability and safety on uneven surfaces.

First physiotherapy digital clinic 100% digitally automated by Artificial Intelligence that accompanies patients during the entire recovery process.
GAMAN
Specialists in inclusive changing room solutions, helping organizations improve their range of accessible changing rooms, both with new facilities and adaptations of existing facilities.
LUP
They offer assisted reading solutions aimed at giving autonomy to people with reading difficulties. Through the smart pocket magnifying glass, they facilitate reading by turning text into voice making everyday life easier for people.
MUNDO PUA

Basq works to give a new life to the waste that most pollutes our planet by transforming it into the most sustainable shoes in the most sustainable way.
AUZIKER
It is an initiative that works on the creation of technological devices, commonly called baits, for the training of dogs of canine units for the detection of explosives, corpses or different diseases.
BROMALGAE
Capture and treatment of NOx and CO2 pollutant gases by means of microalgae. It has developed two systems: GarbiNOx, for the abatement of industrial gases and GarbiAir, urban trees that act as biological filters.
ISAUKI
It is a startup in the foodtech sector of alternative proteins that develops fish analogues such as shrimp, squid and vegan indulgence based on different vegetables and extracts of micro and macroalgae.
OREKA
An initiative that seeks to end food waste by ensuring that the surplus is used to its fullest and greatest potential to feed those who need it most.
