A place for change
BBK Kuna is more than a physical space, it is an ecosystem where social innovation and collaboration drive projects with positive impact. Located in the heart of Bilbao, this historic building has become a benchmark for sustainability and social development.
Formerly known as the Cuna House, it was built between 1914 and 1916 by Ricardo Bastida and has been a symbol of civic welfare. In 1930, it housed one of the first kindergartens in Bizkaia, marking a social milestone.
In 2021, BBK Kuna reaffirmed its commitment to the needs of the 21st century, becoming a space in which to imagine and build the future of Bizkaia. After its rehabilitation, it maintains its historical essence while driving initiatives for a more sustainable and inclusive future.
