Each event seeks to excite, inspire and generate conversation, understanding culture as a tool to create community, foster talent and build a more inclusive society.

Since 2021, Sala BBK has taken another step forward and has established itself as a producer of contemporary stage works, expanding its impact in the Basque cultural sector.

• In 2021, it produced Yerma, a contemporary version of the classic by Lorca, directed by María Goiricelaya.
• In 2022, it presented Borderland, a contemporary opera.
• In 2023, the Yarin dance show arrived
• In Aste Nagusia 2023, it presented Agur Otxoa Feroz!
• In Aste Nagusia 2024, Urte Berri OFF premiered
• And in 2025, we premiered Five Swallows, an inclusive show.

These productions have made Sala BBK one of the strongest bets for new stage narratives and local talent. In 2023, it was the space that received the most nominations at the Max Awards (6 nominations, winning the one for best adaptation for Yerma), reaffirming its role as a promoter of performing arts in the Basque Country.

Sala BBK’s programming includes events for all types of audiences and interests:

• Live music cycles, from flamenco to jazz, electronic and acoustic concerts.
• Theatre and dance, with contemporary proposals and innovative productions.
• Cinema and conferences, which open up spaces for reflection and debate.
• Literary encounters, with current social and artistic themes.

All this with a view committed to accessibility, inclusion and sustainability.

Sala BBK opens its doors to creators, collectives, institutions or companies that wish to add to its programming or make use of the space.

It also has a multipurpose hall ideal for small format presentations. A versatile space for creators, companies and professionals in the sector who wish to share their projects, perform intimate concerts, poetry recitals, talks or audiovisual presentations.

The hall is an extension of the spirit of Sala BBK, a meeting point for those who understand culture as a form of expression, dialogue and social construction.

Sala BBK is open for rental for holding a social, cultural or solidarity event.
