Bihar: Choosing tomorrow
What future are we choosing with our decisions? A living sculpture that emerges and sinks with the tide of the estuary to represent how our daily actions condition the world that will be inherited by the next generations.
«Bihar», which means “tomorrow” in Basque, is an artistic intervention in collaboration with the sculptor Rubén Orozco. The sculpture, installed in the estuary of Bilbao, represents the head of a girl that goes up or down according to the tides, as a metaphor for the consequences of our social, economic and environmental decisions.
The action aims to raise awareness of the urgent need to adopt models of sustainable competitiveness and is accompanied by a short fiction film that sets out a future scenario if responsible action is not taken today.
Bihar is not just a visually impactful work, it is a symbol of the passage of time, the decisions we make, and the hope to stay afloat if we act with collective conscience.
