Haurkuna: Building Our Astronaut Helmet

BBK Kuna , 30 May 2026 , 17:30h

Get ready to become an astronaut and begin a new space mission. In this session, children will build their own astronaut helmet using cardboard plates as a base.

First, they will decorate the helmet with markers, geometric shapes and small elements that represent buttons, controls and technological details. Then they will attach a craft stick to the bottom so they can hold it in front of their face, just like a real space visor.

Once finished, they will use their helmet in a short symbolic space mission game, bringing together some of the elements explored throughout the month.

During the activity, we will discover why astronauts need special helmets to breathe, communicate and stay protected in space.

A creative and participatory activity that helps strengthen fine motor skills, imagination and the symbolic role of becoming a space explorer.
